3 feng shui tips for peace,Harmony & Joy in your life

Feng Shui is an ancient tool used to create harmonious, peaceful and joy-filled environments.  Its origins date back thousands of years ago to ancient China.  Life was so much simpler and organic at that time.  People looked to the natural environment for guidance on how to live well.  Things have changed today; however, the tools of Feng Shui can still be applied successfully to your surroundings.
Many people in the United States think of Feng Shui as a method of properly placing furniture.  While it definitely has benefits with that use, Feng Shui’s true roots start with the land your building is placed upon.  The land’s condition, as well as its shape, has implications in the life that you lead in that home or business.  The care you put into your exterior, reflects in the inner workings of your mind, and life.
Beautiful views, as most of us know, are extremely valuable to real estate.  In Feng Shui, we consider the view that you see from your home to be essential.  An ideal view looking out the front door is one that is expansive which leads to attracting positive events into your life.  If your view is somewhat blocked, there are Feng Shui tools to move beyond that limitation
There are various schools of Feng Shui that each produces valid results.  One method, common to all, is “Form School”.  This considers the shape of objects, landscape, and natural surroundings that impact your environment.  Overall, the easiest thing to consider is this: Does it feel good – or not?  Gentle, meandering, wavy shapes may feel more inviting than sharp, jagged, pointed items.  Consider the analogy of how someone speaks to you.  For example, if they use their hands, motioning them in a flowing manner, it feels much better than if that person sharply points their finger at you.

3 Feng Shui Tips to Bring Peace, Harmony & Joy into Your Life

Try these to create a welcome entry to your home, apartment or business:
1.)    Avoid straight or jagged walkways. Place colorful plants along those pathways and/or outside the main door to offset any imbalances.
2.)    Do you have a view that is limited or blocked when looking out your front door such as a wall?  If so, place artwork that feels expansive on the wall. If possible, plant some beautiful, fragrant flowers that will make you feel joy when you walk out the door.
3.)    Is your front door hidden in view from the street?  Lead the ‘chi’ (invisible life force) and your friends and clients to your door!  Water fountains, chimes, colorful flowers, moving objects – each of these are tools to bring positive chi into your life.
Apply these principals to your surroundings, and you will garner beneficial results. Feng Shui is an easy and fun tool for everyone to use.  Join me in next month’s blog where you will learn about Clutter and Clearing Your Space!
